About Us

Welcome, I’m Michael, and I am a traditional glazier and stained glass artist. After leaving school, I joined the family business, my father’s building company, where I learnt practical skills, disciplines and values which have paved the way to where I am to date.

How it started

My career took an unexpected turn when I joined a small traditional glazing firm, which on reflection, was my introduction into the world of glass. It was here I learnt key skills in traditional domestic glazing, lead lights and customer relations. I had the pleasure of working in many period buildings where my interest in period glazing and stained glass started to grow.

This inspired a desire to learn about stained glass and subsequently led me to join a college course in stained glass where I gained a qualification in this wonderful medium.

Following my time in the small glazing firm, I felt inspired to launch my own glazing company, M. Vincent Windows & Glazing, founded in 2010.
Over the following years, I have focused the direction of the business towards the traditional glazing methods and craftsmanship of stained glass.

I am proud to say the business has gone from strength to strength and my reputation within the industry and amongst my customers has grown by providing a consistent reliable, trustworthy, efficient and friendly service.

From 2015, I started my journey in painting on glass.

This opened up a whole new world of possibilities and enhanced my skills and knowledge to not only produce new stained projects but also conservation work, with work taking place in my studio in Wiltshire.

Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure to work on projects such as the renovation of the former Moravian Church, now called the Julia and Hans Rausing Building in Malmesbury opened by Her Majesty, The Queen Consort in December 2018. St. Aldhelms Roman Catholic Church also in Malmesbury. St Nicholas Church in Stevenage, the birth place of Jane Austen. Perry and Dawes Almshouses Chapel in Wotton-Under-Edge and St. Joan of Arc Parish Catholic Church in Highbury Park, London, to name just a few.

I have also been included in a 12 month exhibition showcasing fellow stained glass artists work in a wide range of venues nationwide, such as, Ely Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral, Wells Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford and Lichfield Cathedral, through my membership of the BSMGP (British Society of Master Glass Painters).

I look forward to what the future holds and the new and exciting opportunities and projects that lay ahead for the business.
